Has anyone seen this movie. My youngest is a Hulk fanatic, guess it has something to do with green beeing his favorite color. Anyways, had to buy it for him today, just wanted to hear what I was in for this afternoon. Thx

Seems to be very populair with the kiddies. I picked it up as a free rental to check it out.

How old is he? I took my 5 yr old to see it in the theater and he was pretty freaked out. It was kind of intense. I asked him if he wanted to buy the DVD and he said no. I guess once was enough

Have'nt seen it yet but I heard it was little cheesy and far featched. The animation of the Hulk is little blotchy when mixed the backgrounds. And the reality of it is stretched a bit. I mean.. come on.. the Hulk can jump 400ft in the air and leap over 5 miles at a time? A little over done if you ask me. Check out DareDevil first.Polk-A-Nizer~~Ulrich

In reality, it seems to be pretty spot on with the comic, I was a very avid reader of comics growing up. Its just a shame it has taken this long to produce live action flicks that can even come close to the imaganations provided 30, 40, 50 years ago. I haven't seen it yet, and I base my above statement on what I have seen in specials done on the film. I just rented it and will watch it when I get home.

This is the worst comic book movie to come out lately. I saw it in the theatre and was kind of disappointed. It's decent, I guess; but I don't think I'll buy it...

One of the most boring movies I have ever seen. Saw it in the theaters and could barely keep my eyes open.

I rented it. very cheesey movie for sure... I didn't care for how Ang Lee kept using special effects to transition between scenes... yes some of them were cool.. and fun to watch the computer transition.. but come on now Mr. Lee. less is more here.
I fell asleep 35 mins into the movie. one scene had decent bass to it. will i buy it. NO WAY JOSE'PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

The wife and I watched it last night before letting the kids see it. Sure glad we did, think it's just a little to much for a 4 year old and a 6 year old. Didn't much care for the movie overall except for the fact that PQ didn't look to bad and the SQ was amazing. The room pressurized quit a few times. Of course, could not listen to it quit as loud as I wanted to due to the fact that the kids went to bed. Thats okay though, they will be at church tonight, there is a couple of scenes I would like to give another run at Reference Level. Neighbors will be loving me tonight.

Ok, it kinda sucked.

I found this movie to be excellent, stunning. You can really feel the weight and power of this Hulk-beast. Awesome. I didn't see the Hulk in theater, and I wasn't expecting too much based on what I'd heard about the movie; needless to say I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it. I will buy the Hulk.
Better than any comic book movie I've seen. Spider Man was alright, Daredevil was worse.

I bought this movie sight unseen even with the mixed reviews. I got it because I was a fan of the TV series and comic book growing up. I do try to make it a point to buy all Marvel Comics adaptations when they come out (I loved Daredevil by the way). I'll post my opinions of this movie after I get a chance to watch it.My 7.1 setup consists of:
Denon 3803
Panasonic DVD
RTi70s front
CSi40 front center
RTi28s side surround
FXi30s back surround
PSW202 Subwoofer - Hey, it's my first sub!

Farfetched, yes.
Comic book action, of course.
A night of stimulating, thought provoking conversation over a bottle of wine, HEL: NO!!
Come on guys, it's a fun movie. There's no way for a movie that started out as a comic book to be realistic. Sit back, turn upthe volume and just be entertained.
I got a kick out of it! -
Didn't mind the slow start.
The babe was eye candy in every scene - could she look any sexier and more vulnerable in that brown sweater, hair down, tears in the eyes? And they just had to show the nape of her neck every other scene, just to make you drool.
CGI was great, video transfer was outstanding (except for some EE in a few scenes), and bravo to DD and the sound engineers for an excellent soundtrack. Surround use had great ambience and detail and the bass was deep and powerful and actually had detail and character.
The end got a little weird, but hey - overall, the HULK was OK in my book."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

I liked this a lot. Ang Lee goes for both comic booky hyperbole plus probing psychology. It works well. It sticks to its plan instead of trying to please everyone with what they generically thought it should be. Fred Elmes the cinematographer went for intimate human tones instead of high tech. I liked the father/son face off at the end because it was like a Sam Shepherd play that turns into live action anime. The battle over energy and life spirit is pretty Chinese in concept. Interesting. Just my opinion.
The dvd dolby 5.1 audio was boring to me, too much dialnorm crap. I wish someone would figure out how to make money off a format that actually sounds good! -
Finally saw it, and loved it. It's a true comic book movie. *I'm no authority on the story* The multiple screens took a bit of getting used to, but it's turning out to be perfect. That style of filmplay is showing the roots of where the story first originated..on paper.
It was a bit long, but the extra time was needed to get the story across.
"I didn't care for how Ang Lee kept using special effects to transition between scenes..."-danger boy
I enjoyed the transitions. I went into it as a comic book movie and saw each transition as its own seperate panel in the drawn story.
The Hulk?? He was ultra impressive... Looks-wise..he's no Gollum..but the emotion he conveyed was astounding. The pure, raw, unfiltered rage he showed was EXACTLY what I was wanting from that several thousand pound beast.
This was one to get the story across, I believe..the next will please a larger audience with more action and less background. It seems to be the pattern of these comic style movies..and rightfully so. Yeah..so maybe the hulk can smash **** up and should do so every minute..but you lose the time and effort put forth by the creator. The actual substance. I find showing the story very respectful..and as something to prime the pump. If my theory is correct, the next Spiderman and Hulk should be phenomenal........
Daredevil? Predictable..cookie cutter..silly. Ben Asstrack needs to go back to working with Kevin Smith. I'm sure he's too busy with Down Hoe..err..Talent Low...whatever her name is.Two Channel Main

Spiderman would stomp Assflak. Spiderman vs. Hulk would be interesting. But you know who is on the way don't you??? The Juggernaut... There's no way he won't make it into a movie. It would be a travesty not to see the unstoppable destroy his way onto the screen. But which movie will have him? X-Men? Hulk? Spiderman?
If they put him in Daredevil I'll shoot something several times.
Dorokusai..I think daredevil is more like watching **** ferment. A culture dish of bad movie making. Even my nachos aren't that cheezy.
On a closing note..The Juggernaut is on his way. Make lots of room. Two Channel Main

THANK YOU!!! Finally someone who appreciates this movie for what it is. I saw it in the theater and absolutely loved it. For once, someone took a comic book and made it into a comic book movie. How much closer can you be to the comic book? The Hulk himself was right on with how he was in the comics and the different pictures in one frame looked just like a comic book. Again, how much closer can you be to a comic book than this movie???Originally posted by Loud & Clear

Now Daredevil... HORRIBLE! That almost made me want to wet myself so I had a reason to stop watching. Now I was never a fan of the comics but seriously... Affleck as a super hero? HAHAHAHA! Might as well put Haley Berry as the catwoman. Oh wait, someone made that mistake as well.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
