The best part about it is that it will be free!! The plasma may be on hold for now, but I may go ahead and get it anyway. I have always loved my Sony and was gonna be sorry to see it go.

Yeah, I'd probably get the plasma, get the SXRD fixed and sell it or use it as a secondary TV. Apparently, its pretty common to have the problem come back after the light engine fix, sometimes repeatedly, and after a few repairs, Sony may offer a settlement or low price upgrade (to LCD). There are huge threads over at AVSforum, including one specific to your A2000 model. I've got about 4000 hours on my A3000 and I'm half expecting it to start showing the stains/blobs in another few months. Great looking TVs, but flawed technology that doesn't last. -
Thanks again Bill, I will probably still get the Panny, just not right away. Got some bills and I need to be responsible, lol. That and this damn 2 ch itch I have now, needs some serious scratching, lol. I'll have to check out that thread you refered to, in the meantime I am going to call and schedule a repair. I love my SXRD and IMHO, the picture was/is as good as any other tv out there. I was thinking about selling it, and if the light engine repair fixes my problem I may still do that and put the funds towards the Panny. I have no idea how many hours I have on mine, but I have had it for a little over 3 years now, and it has seen it's fair share of use, lol.

Update: Thanks to Bill I got my TV repaired and it is as good as the day I bought it. Man, I am falling in love with this TV all over again, and will be sorry to see it go, lol. The place I got it repaied at picked it up Tuesday, fixed it Wednesday and dropped it off this morning!! I could have gone and got it yesterday, but they closed at 5 and I had to be at work at 6, also it wasn't going to fit in the back of my SUV and I figured one more day wouldn't kill me, lol. Best of all it was 100% covered by the extended warranty and didn't cost me a penny!! Again, thanks a bunch Bill, if it wasn't for you I never would have known about this in the first place.
