Is the dipole/bipole needed?

I don't have the room for lsi-fx's and was planning on going with the OWM's for my rear speakers. However, the whole OWM line does not have dipole/bipole switch. So how big of a deal is it to have dipole/bilpole if the rear speakers will be pretty much next to someone's head.

Thanks!

I would want a dispersion feature if the speakers were going to be so close.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Since at this time polk does not have this feature in a smaller speaker does anyone have some suggestions for something that will play nice with my lsi center channel and front speakers? Cambridge Soundworks has something a bit smaller (Newton II S205) that has the dispersion feature but have never heard them.
