I ran across an article regarding the hi-end Lexicon RV5 ( no, it's not the MC12) is a re-badged of a low-end HK AVR 745.

The Lexicon RV5 MSRP is $4,000.00 and the HK 745 is around $1300.00. It's a hefty price tag for the name.

Who's next in this re-badged game? Back in the 80s, Sam Tellig ( StereoPhile) pampered the Atoll gears but he forgot to disclose that the Atoll CDP A1000 ( MSRP $1,000.00) was nothing but a rebadged of a $150.00 Technics CDP.

So much for the hi-end reviews!

Lexicon seems to be having problems...first the rebadged Oppo Blu-ray, now a H/K? What's next? One thing is for sure they're INCREASING their PROFIT margins with these moves!! Ha..ha..!

Lexicon was always over-priced re-badged garbage, no suprise here.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

There is an Audiogon member who tries to sell the NIB Lexicon RV5 with a huge discount from the MSRP of $4,000.00 down to $1,600.00 to his own forum members. I hope he knows what he's selling to his own people or he probably forgets to mention it .
