soo I'm looking to possibly get an adcom 7805 to try out. its a 5 channel amp and when reading about it noticed that adcom recommends you put this amp on its own 20 amp circuit.
Now with where I live I don't currently have any as its an apartment but was wondering if there really are problems I would need to be worried about, besides tripping a breaker and not having the full output of the amp if I were to put it on a regular 15 amp?
do any of you guys think this would be a problem or that I should wait until I move into a house?
It would just be for my HT set up for the surrounds and center as I'm currently using the Pio SC-05 but wanted to find an amp if I do decide to go with a pre/pro instead (if I can ever decide on one that is).

Also look at the Rotel 1095, it's a beast and a great performer. I'd take it over the newer Adcoms.

Also look for a used Adcom GFA-7500. Better than the new amps.

why do you feel its superior to the newer ones? I tried to find some info really quick on it but wasn't able to come up with much.

I really am open to suggestions for them, I just saw what looked like a decent deal on the 7805 so I was thinking about picking it up, but if not, not a big deal.

A 20 amp power cord won't plug into a 15 amp outlet. You will need to change the wall outlet.

The older style has a cleaner input stage. More direct. Don't hang on the watts.

ok, I wasn't really paying attention to watts, just more the build quality and for me I want something with a lot of detail that is focused, and gives a more neutral tone to things.
