AM Gold (8 CD collection)
Purchased brand new and lightly used. Individual cds are in excellent condition, except for 1965, which shows some visible clouding from a prior Optrix treatment (none of the other cds were treated with Optrix). That cd still plays fine, though. Individual cds include: 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 The 60's Generation The Mid 60's 70 - 74

Sound of the Seventies and AM Gold have also now been sold.

Hows the sound quality on Time-Life CDs? Some of there offerings have interested me, but I just didn't know the recording quality.

They didn't stand out one way or the other as amazingly good or amazingly bad (this is a compliment as quality of mastering didn't draw attention to itself).
There are some really nice performances on the various discs, though. For example, in Sound of the Seventies, there is a really cool rendition of "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s and also Talking Heads "Psycho Killer."
I also own Time-Life Treasury of Christmas and it has some really good performances on it too (highly recommended).
Their collections seem like really good stuff, probably just not worth full retail if you buy based upon their informercials.
