they must have pulled it completely from the website. i'm sure alot of stores still have some in stock.

that's why i went and bought mine on thursday. i noticed that night that the csi40 was still on the website but no longer available for direct shipment. i ran to the store immediately and secured mine.

i wanted to wait for a better deal but i guess 299 isn't too bad.

Well as per the CC guy the CSi40 is being discontinued. Or well they wont be selling them anymore. Out of 3 stores in the Area there are a total of 1 Brand new 3 Displays and 1 open box the displays will become open box soon. Damn i waited too long. I'll have to go sell a kidney real quick before its TOOO LATE!

As for the new models they finally got to Rti8's in and i did a little demo comparing to the 70 since they were side by side. IMO i personally like the "look" of the 70's better. Seems like all the new stuff coming out just looks to "spacey" and out there. The 70's just have a "rustic" look to them and thats what i like. Now as far as the sound the 8's have a noticable diff in the "High" vs the 70's. They sound cleaner and crisper. Now the mid factor was a toss up , I couldnt tell a big diff but over all i think the new ones sound a little better. Now this was just the show room and i'm sure alot of people with their gear could make anything sound Supurb! Just my 2 c. Time to do some chores so when the wife gets home it will be a little eaiser to kiss **** and BEGG or the 40. Wish me luck!!! :(

    CSi40 is being discontinued.

I took down our two 40s last night because a display got taken down, and the other I repalced with a CSi3.

Our store now has 2 open box and like 2 or 3 brand new ones.. So don't worry, head into your local CC and ask for one, they should have one.

I thought I was buying mine too early two weeks ago. Three days later both stores here had sold out, new and display.

I traded my CSi30 in for a CSi40 last week at CC, and I'm VERY glad I did. The one I got was the last one they had in the box, but they had 2 demo units on the floor that looked OK.

They initially charged me too much for the trade-in. There was a $200 difference between the store price and what I initially paid for the CSi30, so that's what I had to pay. However, later that day I saw that the CC web site had an advertised price of $299 - so I just printed that out and went back to CC, and asked them if they would price-match their own web site. So, they credited me with the $100 dollar difference!

The CSi40 made a big difference! I'm running RTi38's as my front speakers, and the soundstage seems much more seamless now. Before, the 38's seemed to always outshine my 30.

Say what you will about Circuit City, but their speaker upgrade and price-matching programs are AWESOME!
