For sale is my year old Cambridge DacMagic.

I would rate the unit a 9/10, it works perfectly and there are no visible scratches. In the image below there appears to be a very fine scratch on line on the front of the unit, but can't be seen in person. Maybe I shouldn't use such a nice camera. :D

Includes D/A converter, wall wart power supply, original packaging, and USB cable, manual is MIA but can be downloaded here: http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/assets/documents/AP239051DacMagicUserManual01English.pdf

Asking $300 plus shipping/paypal. I will only sell to members who have positive feedback here or if I know you.

I've owned one of these and it's an excellent choice to get your feet wet on a DAC. The price is solid and so is the Polkie.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

FYI, manual has been recovered from my infinite pile of paperwork.

    Goes to Audiogon tomorrow.

    Still available?

If so, any opinions on what kind of improvement I'd get over my PS3 for CD playback?

Yep, still here, haven't put it on Audiogon yet.

Verses the PS3, I've never heard one used as a CD player. But a $300 multimedia player vs. a $300 dedicated DAC, I would expect an improvement.

Kind of what I was thinking. I'll make up my mind in a day or two provided it's still around.

Hi again, I actually found some more money and decided that I could use another DAC in the house after all. Do you still have it? I'm guessing no, but thought I'd check...
