I have a chance to buy a pair of svs cs 20-39 subs with 1000watt sampson amp. Was wondering if this would be a wise investment over the paradigm pw2200 i currently own. Better low end, more sub spl? Also owner said he installed upgraded drivers also. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated thanks.

It would probably help if we knew how much he wants and the size of your room. If all this is going in one small room you could damage the house's foundation.

My room is kinda odd , i rent half of a basement at my friends house. It is 15 feet wide by 40 feet long divided by a 4 foot by 6 ft partition with a 5ft by 7 ft open walkway which is located in the middle. Block walls on two sides with paneling, padded carpet over concrete floor,7ft ceiling with drp in panels. He is asking 1000.00 .

Sounds pretty good to me but you're gonna wish you had that thou when they kick you out. Better ask them first and make sure they know what they're getting into. Expect to pay for some broken dishes, glasses, mirrors and picture frames.

So i gather from your post that this would be a good move? Dont get me wrong,i love my current sub( paradigm2200) but looking for a little feel to go with that bass if you know what i mean. Would this be too much sub or subs i should say?

I have heard the 2200 and it was impressive, in my opinion save the thousand and work on optimising the positioning of the Paradigm. The sv subs will be overkill, save the scratch and get out of the basement, thats what I'm trying to do.
