Get Adcom Gtp500 fixed?

I'm debating having my gtp500 fixed.I picked it up in a package deal along with a Gfa545 . It has issues with the tuner and tuned bleed over when another source is selected. The only other pre I have is an adcom gfp555mkll.
My question the is : is this pre worth $150 investment (price includes shipping) to get fixed? I plan to use it on a second system done the road. Has anyone ever used ebcelectronics out of New Jersey to have any gear fixed?
I know it isn't a higher end pre but I'd like to have a remote for now with minimal investment.

    The tuner issue is pretty common on the GTP-series.

    You'll spend at least $150 to get the same performance as that unit i would imagine, so $150 to keep it around instead of trashing it and getting something else on the same performance level seems relatively reasonable.

    Do you like it enough to pay $150 to fix it?
    I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

    I listened to it alittle and I think it is as good or close to the GFP-555mkll Im using, so yes I think its worth it to get it fixed. I was just hoping some owners or previous owners could relate their experiences. Mainly for now ,I want the remote capability that my current pre doesnt offer.

    I used that repair place in jersey to get my monoblocks fixed.He did a great job and I havent had any problems in the 18 months or so since the repair.
    Is it paul you contacted.I highly recomend EBC.And Ben might be able to fix it too.
