A bunch of R series speakers

Ok, so the upgrade bug bit me and I am looking to sell some stuff to eventually pick up a pair or Rti8s or Rti10s. I have several speakers from the R series to sell. I am south of Philadelphia near Delaware if anyone is interested in picking these up. I am willing to ship the bookshelves and centers at the buyer's expense. I would rather not ship the larger floorstanding speakers. Here we go:
1. Polk R10s - $40 + shipping - Sound great, cosmetically an 8 due to fine scratches and grills showing their age.

2. Polk R15s - $50 + shipping - Again, sound great. I would say these are a 9 cosmetically since they are used. They look almost new.

3. Polk CSR center channel - $50 + shipping - Sounds great as well. I bought this last christmas and have used if for about 4 months until I moved. It has been sitting in the box since then. Cosmetically a 9 since it had two rubber feet on the bottom that I removed. If I can get the sticky stuff off (shouldn't be a problem) then I would list it as a 10.

4. Polk CS175i - $50 + shipping - Sounds like new. Cosmetically an 8 just like the R10s due to some light scratches on the cabinet. The grill is in OK shape. Two of the tabs broke off but I threaded in two small screws into the grill where the tabs were and now the grill fits onto the cabinet and stays just like normal.

5. Polk R50's in cherry -$120 (local pickup) - sound like new - purchased with the CSR last Christmas. These are the Cherry finish R50s. I would say cosmetically a 9 due to a scratch here or there. Nothing major. I didn't take any pics of these because they are still in the boxes from my move. I can take pics if anyone would like to see them. Local pickup on these due to weight.
6. Polk R40's - $80 (local pickup) once I can get them repaired or make me an offer if you want them AS-IS - both have blown tweeters. I contacted Polk CS to get a price on a pair of replacement tweeters for them. No pics of these until I get a price on the tweeters. Cosmetically a 7 in my opinion, grills have a fair amount of pulls in them. Local pickup on these as well, again due to weight.
Please let me know if anyone wants better / more pictures. Thanks!

Well, Polk CS emailed me and said the tweeters for the R40's are $32 each plug shipping. I'd say it's hardly worth it to repair them since the pair of tweeters would cost almost as much at the speakers themselves might sell for. That's a shame.

Those r50's are tempting, and I don't even know why... I don't know what I'd do with them... but at that price.... hmmmmmLudicrous gibs!

Just leave them as is but in order to avoid throwing them in the garbage, just package them as a bonus with your R50's... that could provide an incentive for a quick local saleOk, so the upgrade bug bit me and I am looking to sell some stuff to eventually pick up a pair or Rti8s or Rti10s. They're probably tempting because they're a VERY good looking speaker. I had a set in cherry, and they were beautiful. Not the last word in sound quality, certainly, but for $120, they sound damn good. They've got great midrange.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I saw them yesterday and was damn pissed. I cant believe i just missed them. Unbelievable huh?
Edit: I think I'm going to hold on to the R50's until I can find a set of Rti8 or 10s to replace them. I can't edit the sale post though. -
However, I'd recommend you would provide such info in PM formatwayne3burk wrote: »Not to rub salt in your wounds... but... these just went for 315 USD on ebay

Yeah, he's just trying to make me feel bad.

Hi, Thinking about the R50's, could you take a pic for me? I'm north of Philly, so I could make the drive down to get them.
-
I'm actually holding on the the R50's for now. The R10s, R15s and CSR are all sold.

OK, thanks. If you should change your mind in the next week or so, let me know.
