Oh, and just to avoid confusion, the vast majority of people wouldn't bother cleaning these, as all of them I looked at were quite clean. But I'm one of those fanatics that wet cleans a brand new record before I ever play it. This is largely due to the fact that it costs 400 to get my cart retipped, so it's my better-safe-than-sorry suspenders-and-pants attitude.

I'm going to start posting them in lots on eBay tomorrow night I guess. I'll pull some to offer here.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Folks, anyone within striking distance of this deal should jump on it. The time and expense involved to slowly build a collection like that would be far more expensive than what Russman is asking at one shot.

Yeah, I'm quite excited, though a bit daunted :) And if anyone still wants part of this, pm me.

Quadzilla-If you're willing to ship any of it, I'd be interested in some of it. I'm just getting started on my vinyl trip, and this would be a great way to pad my collection a little bit.

It's up to you though, let me know.:)

Just so everyone is clear, I'm not interested in competing with the guy that normally sells records here. However, I would probably let 1 or 2 big pieces of the collection go once I get it merged with my existing collection and find out what duplicates I have and what stuff isn't my taste. Given that I have somewhere north of 1200 records already, this is going to be a very large collection. However, at least a 1/3 of what I have already is marked for selling/donating/whatever.

I'm pretty familiar with what's in that collection.....I'd classify more of a music lover's collection as opposed to a strictly audiophile collection. Not that there aren't a TON of audiophile stuff in there but more a case of great music and performances.

    I'm VERY jealous. VERY.
