Samsung DLP Issue

I have had a Samsung 50" dlp tv for almost 2 years now and have loved it. This past August I had to have the red led replaced 300.00. Last night I noticed tity white dots appearing on the screen, multiplying at an alarming rate. I called Samsung this morning and the rep told me there would be a tech out to fix it at no charge. I am amazed, sounds like a known issue to me.

I'm glad i never got a DLP screen... don't get me wrong they look great and right now their prices are actuall lower than plasma and LCD, but they require so much maintenance, i don't think its worth it.

Hopefully this will be the last thing that goes wrong with it. If something else happens, I am looking for a new LCD TV!

I have had my DLP for five years and never needed any maintenance. I haven't even ever changed the bulb! Love my Samsung DLP. The picture is still better than all my other TV's except my projector.

My Samsung HL-S5086 50" DLP is almost 4yrs old, although I have a spare lamp, I haven't needed to replace it yet. I have been very happy with it.
