Polk RTi38's....$175 a pair
Right now, this is the best deal I can get on these speakers. A gentleman on the hometheaterforum is selling his. Should I get these, or hold out for CC to reduce the price on their's? They're still selling the 38's for $300 a pair. So far, I've got the CSi30 for only $100, the FXi30's for $186. I would really like to get the RTi70's, though. Has anyone got these at CC at a discounted price? If so, could you please send me a copy of receipt???

Bought mine for $113 ea from CC. And no I will not send you a copy of the receipt. The 38 is no longer on their website. You'll have to go to each store in your area and hope they have open box or display models.

lol.....andrew, relax......seeing as you paid more, I'm sure that he wants nothing to do with your receipt.

I picked up a pair of 38's at CC for $170 new in box for my daughters 2 channel rig last weekend. They only had 2 new pair left and the demo pair. I've read others talk about even cheaper prices. fgr41 said he picked up his for what has to be the best deal yet at $61.74/pair. I'd call every CC in your area and ask what their best price is. Then highball it over there and pick 'em up. Just act fast, cause they're going fast.

CC is selling the RTi38's at $85 each now ($170 for the box). Get new ones. I purchased FXi30 surrounds last night (immediately after reading a post here) from CC at $170 for the pair. Still need to hook these up.

Just to add to my previous post, CC will also do an availability search at stores in the same state (or a bit more limited) for you. They will get what you need delievered to your preferred store with no shipping charges to you. So you really do not need to run around looking for what you want.

I've called all the stores near me, well, except one. They are all still selling the RTi38's at regular prices. The lowest I found was $120 each for open box. Still too high... I'm on a budget, which is why I can't spend a whole lot. I was going to wait until early next year to put together an Axiom or Ascend Acoustics setup, but since the RTi's are starting to go cheap, I figured that would be the best way to go. I love Polk speakers, and at these prices, there is no way in hell they can be beat. I mean, sure the Axioms, or the AA may sound a little better, but for about $500 more than what I'll end up spending on the Polks.

I found the 38's at the Bridgeton, MO store for only $80 each new. I won't be able to get up there till Fri, though, which sucks, because they only have 2 left. They have 2 open box, and I might just settle on those. God, I hope they still have them...
