I am having a horrible time trying to find a very sturdy, high speaker stand for a pair of monitor 40's. I want to try to get them as tall as possible since they are being used as surround speakers. I also have a 2 year old so I have to consider that. Any help would be appreciated also would like to know what anyone else is using.

Thanks.
My setup:
Pioneer VSX-03
Polk CS2: center
Polk Monitor 60: fronts
Polk Monitor 40's: L+R surround
Polk 505: sub

I'm using some end tables that I have.. that said.. they are at ear level at that point.. but I still like the sound of it.. If you want to get them higher you could look at a maybe a bookshelf for each one.

I bought a pair of the silver 30" ones from this page for my monitor 40s

they match perfectly, and are very nice stands.... especially for how cheap they are. Fast shipping and a smooth transaction as well.

I suggest building some with a hollow but sealed center. Then you can fill the center with kitty litter. That will add stability to the stand.

Preferebly I would love to have them around 36-40 something inches high. My ear level from the couch is around 34-35 inches.

    Polk Monitor 60: fronts
