    Got my Audio Advisor catalog on Friday.

    They still have some Cambridge 640c v2 CDP players for $349.

    Darn good deal.

    H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    They're VERY nice speakers, and at that price a complete no-brainer. :D

    I would suggest you go see if they work, and if they do, pick them up, don't bother spending a lot of time demo-ing them at the seller's house.

    If you happen to NOT like them, i'll buy them from you for the same price +shipping immediately. :)

    I know :) He's willing to ship but that could result in astronomical shipping fee for these big boys.

    One thing to note though, is the fact that the speakers are of slightly different shades of cherry. However, from talking to him, performance is really great. These are one notch above the Lsi line from what I heard. Great deal for sure. I would've jumped on them if I didn't buy my RtiA5s recently.

    I currently have a 505 myself but its tempting to pick one of these up for my 2nd sub woofer preout since I have a 7.2 receiver or for a future smaller system.

    If you are in need of a receiver:

    Sixth Avenue Electronics had the Pioneer Elite VSX-21THX for 499 online only (well, really telephone) only. I went in the store and they said they would match their online price. And they were out of the VSX-21 so the guy gave me the VSX-23 for 499! And they are an authorized dealer!

    AND I also went to the one in the bad neighborhood for half sales tax lol.

    (Not sure.. is 6th Avenue national or just a NY/NJ thing?)

    Well they at least have one in Montgomeryville, PA (Willow Grove near Philly), and a new one in Wilmington DE. (TAX FREE).

    I remember helping a friend pick out a new pair of JBLs (actually a sub-sat system before they were everywhere) when the only store was the one actually on Sixth Avenue....
