what would better power a 12"L7 kicker in a ported box, a rockford fosgate power 851s or a kicker kx 600.1. running at 2 ohms. Thanx.

the rockford puts out 850watts...the kicker puts out 600watts
    both at 2 ohms
    L7's are hungry speakers
try a rockford fosgate bd1001....$100 more then the 851 i think

I'd go kicker amp...its a stonger amp then the RF. I have some newer RF amps..and i'm not pleased with them... they will do for now..but wish kicker had taken checks at the show..or i would have gotten the kicker amps....

    anyway..good luck

if its a dual 4 ohm coil sub -- mtx 81000D -- can be had for as cheap as 290 bucks on ebay new in box -- will do 1400 - 1500 watts without a problem into 2 ohms.
