Toshiba XA2 HD-DVD player, 25 movies

Selling off the last of my HD-DVD gear. I've gone completely bluray now, so I just don't need an extra player sitting around unused. It's in excellent shape with a few small nicks along the top of the faceplate edge on the far left side and a few swirl marks on the top of the player. Nothing noticeable from more than a foot away.

This player is still one of the best upscaling players available today due to the HQV Reon chip. This player is heavy and well built. Lots of guys here have seen this player in action and can vouch for its abilities.

Also included are 25 HD-DVD titles that are all in near mint shape:

    I still have mine for SD DVD use as the Tosh remote responds faster with the remote buttons than any BluRay player out there. Added, is that the quality of the HDDVD with SD is as good if not better then any BluRay player.

    I would never give up my XA2... just picked up two unopened HD-DVD discs on a garage sale for a buck a pop!

    You won't beat this player for regular DVD's for under $1000. I have seen a Denon 3930, which uses the Realta chip, as well as an Oppo 983 with VRS (this past weekend) in my system here and didn't notice any advantage to either chip. I thought the Realta and Reon were equal (on 720p/1080i) and the VRS was actually less film-like. So if anyone is looking for an great upscaler, this is it.

    We absolutely encourage people giving their opinion, but in the proper forum. If you want to, you can start a thread in the electronics section all about how the Panasonic is a better deal to you and such. You just don't do it on a for sale post. It's a good way to get blacklisted by all the regulars around here.

    That being said, I would bet this player that it will upscale regular DVD's better than the Panasonic and there is not an upscaler with the Reon chip for cheaper. So I would say it's pretty fairly priced.

    With all do respect GEBBY44,
    I have received the HD dvd movies and the only mint (condition) about it is packing and that's it. The movies are all scratched and no where mint as you described. If you could guarantee all of them are fine once played then it's cool.

    Sorry to hear that. I know I bought 4 of those new and 3 of them were never even watched. I do know that they will all play fine. Next time, please let's clear this type of thing up over PM. I do appreciate you bringing up the problem, and I have no problem guaranteeing them. But it seems kinda rude to bring it up in public if there is in fact no problem.
