Yes I thought about it but I think Nik sent his back to Emotiva. I hope he wasn't pissed, I did pm Jerry about the amp first, and should have posted my intrest as well like Nik said, But Jerry had control of who he wanted to sell it to.

By no means was I wanting it to seem like I was stepping on his toes.

Come on guys,, take it to pm, don't dump on his thread, and for the record, Jerry's sale was "by the book". Those that don't know,,,,, Nice amp for sale here,I've heard it drive Carver Amazing's (Plats) respectably,SDA 1C's, and some others. This amp would make a nice step up into seperates. As Ted once said,, "great way to get out of the kiddie pool". Good luck with your sale.

I have to say I miss this amp already. I have owned many amps and None in this price rage can hold a candle to it. ( Over 110 db on the Amazings and it did not break a sweat. )

    Here are some highlights:

Listening was performed in two channels and I mostly put this amp through its paces with Jazz and Rock styles of music. What I noticed most was, having this much power reserve brought out the full potential of my speakers and allowed them to produce a full range that was rich with dynamics both in low and high frequencies. I was pleased that the bass output from my tower speakers began to rival that of my subwoofer. There was a point where I couldn't withstand the sonic pressure of turning the volume up anymore so it’s needless to say that this amp will allow you to play your music as loud as you possibly could want. The nice thing is that when the volume goes up, the balance in the frequency ranges remains intact as a result of having enough power reserve to handle it.

I could tell that having all this power not only allowed the speakers to output powerful bass but also gave the midrange an exceptional extension into the soundfield. In this case, all of the albums' guitar work had significant weight in the presentation and vocals also took on a full bodied presentation.

The Emotiva XPA-2 is an excellent two-channel power amplifier that will deliver dynamic ranges to your speakers that you never knew you needed or wanted.

I do not know what other amps you have, but when Jerry had it,we mated the Emo with 3 different tubed pre's and it did very well with Jerry's Belles,,a Wright WlA12A and an EE minimax. The tube pre and ss amp combinatipon is very hard to beat, and it also gets you "there" for not alot of money. If it does not sell here, you might want to move it to another site, where I'm sure that you would have no problem moving it.

I just received the amp. Holy crap. I was a little concerned because Larry didn't have Emo's original packaging, and it's an 88 pounder that poses some shipping challenges. Larry's pack job was a work of art, and I almost felt bad taking it out of the box - it's temporary home looked that comfortable. It's like McGyver himself packaged this thing. I have one other XPA-2, and the Emotiva factory packaging is excellent. Larry's was better.

Needless to say it's cosmetically perfect. I haven't hooked it up yet. Thanks Larry. I'd give you a +5 as a seller if I could.
