Very nice speakers, but the time has come to sell.

Top wood has splits as seen in pics. Overall speakers are in very nice shape and sound awesome. Stock drivers and tweeters.

Cross overs were just upgraded by ben from the forum. 400 dollar upgrade with brand new sonicaps and resistors.

Asking 1500 obo. Lets make a deal.

I am located in zip 60010 which is 45 minutes NW of chicago.

Hmmm....how about we swap crossovers? I send you my stock SRS crossovers plus cash, and you send me the upgraded ones (for a good price of course). Then, sell your SDA's on ebay for $1500.

700 miles and 14 hours later they are in the house. They will become 1.2 TL's after we replace all the tweeters with RDO 198's.

I believe there are other differences besides the tweeters.

MW's are the same as the 1.2TL's and these are pin/blade. Crossovers have been upgraded by Ben with Sonic Caps and Mills. Not sure what else could be missing. Thoughts?

Those are SDA SRS's not1.2's or 1.2tl's, you will not make those 1.2tl's

Sorry but it will not happen.

You can upgrade the 1.2's to 1.2tl's, but you can't upgrade the original SRS's to 1.2's or 1.2tl's.

I have to agree those are SDA SRS's not 1.2's the crossover plates have 13 screws in them versus 9 for the 1.2 or 1.2TL. I would replace the SL-2000 tweeters with RD0-194's not 198's and you should be fine.

Some people prefer the sound of the original SDA SRS anyways, no matter what a damn fine speaker at a damn fine price.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Are the SDA SRS blade/blade only? or were some manufactured with pin/blade? I'm doing a forum search now to find out. Even if they can't be converted they still sound great. If they can be upgraded to TL's that would be a bonus.

"You have 1.2's when you get the RDO 198's you will have to terminate the colored wires on your tweeters to 1/4" terminal's then you will have the 1.2tl's.

    Congrats!!!

Ben did the same work on my 1.2's to 1.2tl's...

    Enjoy your tunes!!!

You can find the schematics for both SDA SRS and SDA SRS 1.2TL at http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55888 in POST #5.

Some of the guru's need to weigh in on this, but I would suggest you hold off ordering the RDO-198's until you get clarification.

I think you need the RDO-194's if you truly have the SDA SRS crossover as the electronic/sonic profiles of the 2 crossover models are entirely different.
