Polk SRT question

I recently came across a strange deal. SRT center speaker sitting on the shelf at a local Polk dealer. It's enormous. I'd like to get it but don't know where I would put the darn thing. Does anyone have any experience as to how they sound or any likes/dislikes? What are these selling for now days? They seem willing to bargain but I'd like to know what the market says before I try to negotiate with them. Thanks much.

What are they asking for it?

The manager was out to lunch and he was the fellow who did the pricing. Didn't these retail for some large $$? It's a new speaker too. With the age and all I was wondering what a fair offer might be.

The center speaker is worth about $250-$300.
Which polk series speakers are you planning on using this center with?

    2.3Tl's

I could swing the 2-3 range.

Not exactly the best match for the 2.3tls but worth a try.
The SRT center is a better match for the LS/RT series and of course the SRT series.

Yeah, if you could find a set of 4 RT16's to go with it for mains and surrounds, that would be a great setup. I just sold a pair of near perfect RT16's for a couple hundred bucks.
    THE SYSTEM
    Polk Audio LSiM 707 Mains
    Polk LSiM 702 f/x Surrounds
Polk Audio LSiM 706 C Center
    SVS SB-17 Ultra Subwoofer
    Rotel RSP-1582 Pre/Pro
    Rotel RMB 1585 Amplifier
