I have a rotel 855 cd player for sale.
Pretty much mint condition. I think it's about as good as you could get for a 20 year old player.
Sounds amazing! It won't disappoint.
The remote is a little finicky. Sometimes you have to slap it around to get it to work. Could need new batteries?
I may or not have the manual. I'll look later.
No original box. But will be packed well...
I'll take some pics in a bit.
I'd like $100.00 for it plus shipping.

The biggest difference I noticed between the Oppo and the Rotel. Was the bass. The Oppo has none. Where the Rotel has it in spades. The rotel is also much smoother than the Oppo. Not as edgy..
All in all I would say it's defiantly a step up from the Oppo. But I don't know if it would be enough to justify the purchase. Considering you already have a Oppo. If someone was deciding between this and a Oppo for a dedicated Red Book CD player. It would be a no brainier IMO... But if SACD and DVD-A, and DVDs are your thing. The Oppo is the best buy.
This is just hands down a great Red book player. At least for its age and price.

Its played mine with out any problems.
In fact. Its played every CD I have ever put in it.. Regardless of bad scratches..
