Fatman/Dared/HCT upgrade tube pairs

6N1P-VI Can be used in place of 6DJ8, ECC85, ECC88, 6AQ8.

70's Era Russian/Soviet Union Military tubes made in the Novosibirsk Plant before the Gorbachev era. These are the highest quality Russian made tubes with the much desired "OTK" stamp.

These are 70's era tubes which used better materials and better craftsmanship than the 80's and 90's tubes produced. The only better built and sounding 6N1P tubes are 60's era Russian tubes and I have yet to run across any of those in my digging/searching.

I had to buy a "lot" of tubes and I don;t need as many as I have. These are all NOS, unused, tested and matched in generic white boxes. These are fantastic sounding tubes that work extremely well in the Fatman iPod Valve amp; Dared MP5; HCT HMS100; Sonic Integrity MP5; and Vuum VTi-B1.

Right now I'm offering (2) pairs For Sale.

    "Rocket" tubes I believe are from the Kaluga plant. The "EV" designation means it's military issue, "OTK" are the best military tubes. The big question is when were they manufactured. The 60's and 70's tubes are known to be the best as far as materials and build.

    "EB and "VI" are military issue as well.

    From my research the later 80's and 90's tubes used lesser materials and the QC was less comparably to the earlier issue.

    How that translates in sound? Not sure yet as I haven't had a chance to compare the 70's era tubes against the 90's era tube I have. All that have used them (70's era) have raved about them.

    I also want to add; check and make sure you can use the 6N1P tube in place of 6DJ8's and ECC88 if that's your plan. The heater current is different and in some cases they are not interchangeable. Just an FYI.

    Finally actually have a chance to get my ears on a pair of these. I'm liking what I hear so far right out of the gate. After only 30 minutes...............these are really nice sounding tubes. Very clear, open and transparent. Nice sound stage depth as well.

    I have an extra matched pair of RFT (German issue) 1970's NOS tubes ECC85/6AQ8 which work very well in the Dared MP5 and Fatman iPod Tube amps. Other exact brands include Sonic Integrity and Vuum and HCT.

    Anything that takes an ECC85/6AQ8 double triode.

    $25 shipped in generic boxes. These came from a seller in Germany.

    I assume you mean the Russian 6N1P? Nope those are all spoken for.

    These ECC85 RFT's are nice! I have a similar set of Siemens and a pair of Telefunken's coming as well as a pair of 60's RWN Neuhaus tubes on the way so I just have too many tubes for this dang thing!

    I'll go $20 on the RFT's shipped if that helps you decide. I'll keep you in mind in the future if I unload some more extra tubes.

    I am looking at another tube amp so I may get rid of other tubes for the HCT in order to buy some tubes for the new tube rig.

    Not to rub salt in the wound.............but these 70's Russian EB's sound really, really good.....I'm impressed so if you have a chance to buy any in the future I can recommend them.

    There are a few sellers on ebay that are top notch; it;s the shipping that sorta kills it from the Ukraine, Bulgeria, etc.
