Well the fact is you do need help and need to check in, that is for sure and I do have empathy for your little girls as they have no choice. But so much the victim ben, you know you have a problem, you know your past history is not stellar and never mind the cover story.
You want to play hard ball ben, thats fine, but first go check in, broke??? You just posted about your vacation to Orlando???? Broke??? Why are you spending money on a hobby. You need to get your priorities straight ben, get your life squared away, then come back and you and me will play when its more of fair.
If not you can continue playing the victim, be the Saint, heck put a statue up in front of the place of ben, give the pidgeon's a place to land and do their business. You see that tag ben??? You would be suprised if you knew who put it their, you can wallow in the pity some members feel for you but its pity it wont change a thing for you or you can stand up and do what you need to do.
That's it, I am out.

Thanks Teddy the troll. As far as Orlando that was real cheap as in gas, and a little for taking the girls to go to a cheap road side amusement park. The time share is my Mom's place, and she likes to spend time with me and her grand daughters. As for my system I see you haven't noticed that I have been selling it off. Teddy you are nothing but a troll. I did nothing to you. Anyone who reads this thread from the beginning can see you came in and crapped on it and me. As for my condition it has nothing to do with alcohol, and it is none of your business. Consider my girls very lucky to have the time that we have together now. So take your next shot **** bag.
Can we get back to tubes, or do you insist on trolling Teddy?
Thanks again

Ben, you're completely out of line. It started with the title to this thread and continued with your rather bizarre posts as pointed out by many here. You don't seem to be getting that.
And not that Ted needs me to say anything for him, but he asked you nicely to lay off calling him Teddy. You don't seem to be getting that either.
May I suggest that you consider laying low until you get your issues worked out for the better and come back with a clearer mind because you're not making any friends right now.Political Correctness'.........defined

Well I am sorry you feel I am the one that is out of line. OK some don't like the title of this thread. I am loving my latest experiences with tubes. I did not Attack Ted. He did not nicely ask me not to call him Teddy. He said only his family calls him Teddy and I am not his family. I am done. I don't get what his beef is with me. He did this a while ago unprovoked. Thanks for the advice. Plenty of others have suggested I ignore him. I would like to get back to tubes. They have really been quite the experience, and some of the Pre's as of late have busted many of the myths about tubes.
Thanks

Ben my friend, don't sweat it. I don't know why anyone would really care that much how you title "your" thread on Polks web site. It's not like anyone else owns or controls this web site, even though some think they do.

Tube pre is a band-aid until you match to a tube amp. Tube pre to ss is a type of band-aid. JMO
I don't agree with that at all. If anything, people get to involved and start putting tubes everywhere in the mix.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
I didn't mean for this to turn into a bash fest. I just wanted to get a little positive debate going on tube gear. I got overly defensive, and I know that calling you Teddy pisses you off.

I did not say Tube pre sounded bad at all. I just stated that for me it all came together best with tube pre and tube amp and tube CD player. That's why I stated Just My Opinion JMO. What's great about audio is that, it is in the ears of the beholder. I do not tell others what they should like without saying that it my opinion and you need to make you own. I will agree with you disagreement.engtaz

Well one thing that concerns me is if everything is tubed from the source to the amps is there a synergy issue? To many tubes? How would a bunch of tubes play together? My fear is tube rolling would have me chasing my tail.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. In my main system I went the opposite direction of what most people do when they get into tubes. I have tubed amps, but decided on a SS preamp (though it is also made by the same company and has some characteristics of the tube sound). In my secondary rig I have a tubed pre and a tubed amp and while I love listening to music on that system because of the pleasant harmonic distortion, I still prefer my main system because of the clarity and imaging.
That's been my experience so far, but I intend to try at least a few more permutations before I make a final decision on just where to have tubes in the signal path./COLOR] My Rigs [COLOR="Red" Balanced Audio Technology | Revel | Dodd | Monarchy | PS Audio | MIT | Polk | Etc. -
My integrated has a tube pre section with SS amps and it sounds so sweet so there are exceptions

Just an observation:
Ben...Your OP did sound like a car dealership trying to lure you in to buy a car.
Ted...You came out windmilling without a clear objective to denouncce what this thread was all about.
Ben.. You do get a little pissy sometimes.
Ted .. You too.
Ben.. I've learned a lot from you. As eccentric as you are and having to decipher what you said.
Ted.. You could teach others if you could stop making yourself look like the know all be all and making some of the new folks afraid to ask questions.
Ben.. Lay off the martyr syndrome.
Ted..You do seem to have a beef with Ben. What say you keep it between you and him on a PM basis. ??

It's kinda hard to have a clear objective when the subject matter was so obtuse, eh?Political Correctness'.........defined

Me, too... but much of the time, folks use the word obtuse when they really mean to say abstruse.
obtuse: not quick or alert in perception, feeling, or intellect; not sensitive or observant; dull.
abstruse: hard to understand; recondite; esoteric
Sadly, some folks are just a little bit obtuse when it comes to abstruse concepts.
(N.B. the definitions above are from www.dictionary.com ) -
So,, would Both words apply here?
