Adcom pre & amp

Up for sale is a good condition Adcom 555II (amp) and GTP-450 (pre). Just bought another amp today so this set has to go. I had this set running my SDA 2.3tl's. The tuner also works and the pre amp comes with a remote.

Great way to get into 2 channel on a budget.:)

    I want one of the Adcom 7 series. This amp i would just put in the bedroom with the SDA2's

    Adcom 5802. A friend at work buddy has it for sale. He's holding it for me and if its clean and works properly It'll be in the new rig. Then I can get the 750 matching pre and cd player.

    good luck on the sale. i would have probably tried to pick this up had i not procrastinated on beardog's lsi7's he just sold to another member.

    yes sir. no issues whatsoever. i crank these babies LOUD! and when i turn off the amp, the massive capacitors store so much juice that i can still power the speakers a good 30 seconds before the power fades. not at a high decibel level, obviously.

    The Adcom 750 series is very good, the Cd player has a digital input:D

    I am going to have to pass right now. I had some things come up + the money i have set aside right now i have plans for something else.

    On a good note i do have the material at the shop for some spikes I should be albe to get them going next week. I will let you know when i have them done.

    I tried to pull this off as i want to put this amp in the bedroom.

    Would you happen to have this listed on Indy Craigslist for some reason? This same combo is listed within an hour's drive of me, and i'm trying to figure out if it's worth me trying to audition it vs. my GTP-400/M5150.

    NO, only listed on Milwaukee Craigslist, and Audiogon. The one on Indy Craigslist is a Adcom 545II I have a 555II

    Honestly, at $400 for the set, I cant see why these are still here. For HT or 2 channel, this amp will more than pull its weight. At this price, you're pretty much getting the pre for free. A no brainer in my book.

    Good luck on the sale Leroy, even though, by all rights, you shouldnt need it at that price.
