    And about the distortion comment, I remember I did some search on this PS Audio DAC several months ago because I was seriously considering making a purchase at the time. I came across some reviewer comments on distortion on of the forums, which for the life of me I cannot remember where I read it right now.

    Seems like a reasonable idea to seperate the transformer from the other circuits, Either way it a a very nice DAC IMO. Certainly beats the hell out of my AVR DAC.

    May be but I hear no distortion in mine just sweet sound goodness. But again I am using a very good digital cable and power cable.

    Hi, Yes my Macmini has both optical out and USB. Right now I'm using the USB out into the Dacmagic and the optical out into my 2 channel listening system. I wanted to compare the sound with the Dacmagic and without. I plan to try the optical out to see what happens. I also have to say that I really enjoy the sound of my PS Audio and feel it doesn't "distort" the sound. With my tube preamp it sounds pretty fantastic. But I like the warmth of tubes and not everybody does. To each his own. DJ

    I use my PS Audio DAC with Rotel CDP using KK D-60 digital cable and the sound is fantastic. No distortion here
