Getting more bass out of my RTi12s
So right now I do not have a sub. I am on the hunt and still need to save a little more cash (I only have 100 bucks so far). In the mean time, is there any way I can get more bass out of my mains in the manual set up? My gear is in my sig.
Please speak slowly as I am dumb. thanks

Move them closer to the wall and/or corners.
But - don't expect too much for sonically pure bass - typically you are trading fidelity for reinforcement that may be 'boomy'.

Yeah, let me say that I am not being unrealistic thinking that I am going to get booming bass out of my speakers. I just believe that there are some adjustments I can make in the manual set up that I know nothing about.Theater rig:

If you have run any auto-eq features on your Pio AVR, be sure to check that your Fronts=Large and Sub=None.
Other than that, you can use the AVR features to boost bass output.

Definitely try playing with the placement of your speakers. Give one or both of the following a try:But 30 years of experience contradicts this idea. Getting a bit closer to the sidewalls may add more bass (and more unpleasant reflections), but the overall sound often gets thinner.
Actually, if your sound is a bit thin, and you'd like a bit more fullness, mid-range body, or warmth,
the best way is often to bring your speakers a few inches closer together. I've encountered situations where only an inch or so toward the center gave me the balance I was looking for.
http://www.psaudio.com/ps/tips/fine-tune-your-tonal-balance/Measure your room and draw a simple floor plan. Then divide the room into even divisions. According to the plan, the even points on the grid (fig.2) are where the bass will be reinforced.

Unfortunately to the left of my tv is a hallway. I suppose I could move my computer somewhere and slide everything over, that may be an option. I will post pictures tonight when I get home from work. It is a fairly small room. I really got these speakers because of the deal and I intend to use them in a home theater sometime in the future, hopefully.Theater rig:
