Move the Bose to the bedroom and start looking into matching your fxi30's with some polk fronts and centers. Grab the RT70 and a 40 center and you'll be in heaven.

Add to Russ' rec's an Avia (or other) test disc and a Radio Shack analog SPL meter and you're on your way...

Multiple threads on both are all over the Forum...

A friend of mine gave me the (bose) front speakers. It was too late after I baught the bose center speaker when I fell in love with Polk. That's when I started to collect Polk speakers. I would like to replace them now but I'm on a tight budget right now.

TM - Ebay them, bite the bullet on the missing parts until you get money from auction....?? I know someone that may be interested in the center channel, Bose. Wanna sell?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

You should be able to turn around the auction within 3 weeks, and be buying new Polk speaker in <1 month. Just a thought.

Thanks for the input Hbomb, I'll put those fronts and center speakers on my list.

I think I'll keep the bose for the garage or wherever .

    P.S.

Been reading the threads in the hall of shame lately, I must say it's a bit scary for a newbie to see. Someone should consider editing them out of the forum to welcome more future members (just an thought :-) )

    Thanks again guys...:D

It was kinda entertaining for a while but some of them got too personal (not healthy for the forum's moral)

Agreed, those posts do get out of control, hence the reason for their ultimate Hall of Shame classification. But at least up until the point where they get real personal, they're usually good for a grin. On the other hand, it wouldn't bother me if the section were deleted altogether. On the third hand, Justin and Micah at least have to let those guilty soles know when to quit. :)
