Csi5 vs Csi A6 Is there much difference?

Hey all. I currently have the Csi5 for my center and the rti150's towers. Im thinking (well my girl friend is...lol) that she wants the wood grain instead of the black. My question is. Is the CsiA6 much better than the Csi5. The 5 is cheaper so if they sound the same I see no need to get the A6 unless one of you know a reason to get the A6. Thanks everyone

The Csi-a6 is just a "dressed up" version of the Csi5. The same center spec wise.

I had both and I'm not sure I could tell the difference, but its possible it may be a tad different, but I think they are probably so close....its likely not worth comparing.

Physically the 6 is a hair taller than the 5 and its also a half in less deep. Also the cherry finish is slightly different between the RTiA/CSiA series and the RTi/CSi series. To me the new finish is a bit less red, more on the brown side. My CSiA6 center is tucked away so I can't really tell if the difference is noticeable or not with my RTi12's, but matching might be a consideration for some.

The other major difference, cosmetically, is that the RTiA/CSiA series has the veneer on the front as well. The RTi/CSi had the silver face. (only really matters if you leave the grills off)

Now on the other speakers of the line?? Its been said the new series sounds better, even if only slightly, and likely because of the new cabinet design. I love the new curved cabinets.

They're very similiar sounding centers. I had both a6 and csi 5 and only went with the a6 to match the new rti a series.

    I agree,

I own them both and can't tell a difference in sound. Go for the deal!

Like everyone else has said, they're pretty much the same. I've had both, and I think the CSi A6's tweeter is slightly less bright, but not noticeable enough to pay extra for the A6 unless you want to match
