Would concrete tube forms filled with insulation make a easy bass trap? Do the ends of the tube need to be sealed?I know the idea of using sand doesnt work but the tubes are cheap & easy.If I use this method should I drill holes in the tube to allow bass to get in the trap,& should i cover it with cloth? thanks,ps I got foam traps now & it helps some but not enough.

The sealed tube idea will not work,for it to be effective the sound must be able to reach the fibre so that it can absorb it.The more fibre exposed the more absorbtion will occur.The best method of bass trapping is the corner situated super chunks.see link http://www.radford.edu/~shelm/acoustics/bass-traps.htmlTesting
