Hay everyone I just installed a alpine type R 15in in my ford escape on the new MTX 801D mono amp this sub really pounds but i would like to add two 12 in alpine type S subs on my MTX 250D amp what do you think about the type S sub

    type S is a very good sub -- and the 250D will give you about 150/160 a sub... which is good enough (although i would try to put more on them if u're got the amp then use it)...

    anyway -- i like the type S.

    but i would not run the type R and the two type S in the same car at the same time -- prolly sound like ****.

    mixing subs isn't a good idea.

    i like the type s but the r's are much better for more spl and sq
    with the two 12's stick with type r's and you will be much happier and try.
    watch your enclosure you will definetly need seperate ones and see if you can tune the 12's to more closely match the 15 and see what happens i say OUCH. lol
