What's up with my LCD?

Ok guys, a few years ago I made the jump from a 27" CRT to a Samsung 46". I was blown away by the size and resolution difference. BD looks amazing at 1080p. Don't really have anything to complain when it comes to movie watching.
I play a lot of video games and I'm noticing that maybe the LCD is not as fast as my CRT.
Example would be a racing game that runs at a smooth 60fps. With the CRT, I remember seeing all the detail, sharpness and textures fully intact as they whizz by the screen. Now with the LCD I notice a very annoying blur. Almost like the game has some sort of soft lighting effect. It's not something that's noticable when you're not looking for it, but once you find it, it can get pretty annoying.
Is this a limitation of my display?
Within the next few years I plan to get a 3D display. I want something bigger than my current 46". Can anybody tell me if this new technology handles fast moving images well?

Motion blur is the #1 complaint about LCD displays. If you bought one a few years ago, it was even worse than the current models.
So yes, it is a limitation of your display.
Just don't focus on the issue. By the time you replace it, the problem should be much less noticeable, especially if you get one of the 120Hz or 240Hz models. -
Thanks BIll. I'm taking some time off gaming because it was pissing me off. Glad to hear the newer models are not plagued by motion blur. I'll try to keep my attention away from it next time I play.

I was talking with a local newsman who was inside the CBS press room during the Masters. He said they had a 3D tv setup with live feed of the Masters.
According to him, the technician for CBS said that the current 3D technology was great for games and golf but fast moving sports such as basketball and football will be not so great. Something to do with the fast motion and depth of field plus the difficulty of camera angles keeping up with the action. Sounds logical if you think about it.>

Thanks for the help guys. I will definitely look into plasmas. I noticed that when it comes to the larger offerings, plasma is cheaper than LCD/LED. I hope it goes the same for their 3D displays.
I can't wait to try some good games in 3D. -
2nd plasma. I tried the LCD's but their poor off axis viewing killed it for me. It seems like the 120 and 240hz fixes are more like band aids and create the soap opera effect. LED will suffer the same as it is and LCD with improved blacks. Buying a tv sucks today, I still miss my CRT.
