And i don't feel like listening to my rig. I feel like driving my cars.

I don't feel like upgrading, i feel like cranking up the boost on the Mazda.

I don't feel like starting a thread to ask what my next move should be, even though i'm no longer happy with how my rig sounds.

John's thread about scrapping his rig really hit close to home. Though i'm not sure i'd have the ambition to put it all back together again. I have this feeling that i wouldn't be able to afford the setup that i would truly be happy with.

Maybe i just wish that my damn parts would come in so i could feel that invisible hand pick me up and throw me down the road with all the glorious noises that come with it, and then maybe i wouldn't be so "meh" about everything again. :p

There's my explanation in cryptic form of why i haven't been around much in the last week or so. Probably won't change for awhile.

Happy Summer everyone! Go outside and do something. :D

Let's see...........it snowed a little bit yesterday, frost on many cars that sat outside this AM, had to turn the furnace back on becuase it went as low as 32* the past few nights.

I live in IL, not more than 3-4 hours away from you and I can assure you summer hasn't arrived here. Put my summer tires/rim on the GTi and was worried if we got too much snow if I was going to make it to work. Ultimately it didn;t snow hardly at all beyond a few flurries.

Still waiting for Spring to arrive

It's 50 here and it feels COLD. Amazing how the body quickly acclimates. The first 50 degrees days back in March felt HOT.

I agree Ben...as the weathers been getting nicer, my interests have been turning to other things.

I haven't had my furnace on for about two weeks now. Spring is here!!!(not quite summer yet;))

One of my next investments is going to be a new, MUCH nicer acoustic guitar. I can't wait to have it for those countless nights I'll be spending around a camp fire this summer.:D

I also need to replace some of my camping gear that has seen slightly better days.

I'm still going to be upgrading my stereo this summer though.:)

It's supposed to be 85 today, 89 tomorrow, and 90 on Sunday.

We should've already hit our first 90 degree day a few weeks ago.

...BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT AKDT TONIGHT THROUGH
    MONDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT AKDT TONIGHT THROUGH
    MONDAY MORNING.

A RAPIDLY DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM OVER THE WESTERN BERING SEA THIS
AFTERNOON MOVES TO NEAR SAINT MATTHEW ISLAND MONDAY MORNING. THE
ASSOCIATED FRONTAL SYSTEM BRINGS STRONG WINDS AND SNOW TO THE
KUSKOKWIM DELTA AROUND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. STRONG WINDS COMBINED WITH
SNOW MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS.
POTENTIAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO LAST THROUGH LATE
    MONDAY MORNING.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS
    ACTIONS...

A BLIZZARD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FALLING AND/OR
BLOWING SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS AND EXTREMELY POOR VISIBILITIES.
THIS CAN LEAD TO WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS AND MAKE TRAVEL VERY
    DANGEROUS.

    AKZ155-121300-
    KUSKOKWIM DELTA-
    INCLUDING...BETHEL...HOOPER BAY...NUNIVAK ISLAND
    400 PM AKDT SUN APR 11 2010

...BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT AKDT TONIGHT THROUGH
    MONDAY MORNING...
.TONIGHT...NUMEROUS SNOW SHOWERS...EXCEPT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW AFTER
MIDNIGHT ALONG THE COAST. VISIBILITY IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MAY BE
REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES AFTER MIDNIGHT...MAINLY
ALONG THE COAST. SNOW ACCUMULATION UP TO 2 INCHES...HIGHEST TOWARDS
THE COAST. LOWS IN THE MID TO UPPER 20S. SOUTH WIND 20 TO 35 MPH.
GUSTS TO 45 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT ALONG THE COAST.
.MONDAY...SNOW...POSSIBLY MIXING WITH OR CHANGING TO RAIN BY LATE
MORNING. BLOWING SNOW IN THE MORNING. PATCHY FOG. VISIBILITY IN SNOW
AND BLOWING SNOW MAY BE REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES
IN THE MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATION 1 TO 2 INCHES. HIGHS IN THE LOWER
TO MID 30S. SOUTH WIND 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

As you can see we are still enjoying the finest mother nature has to offer.
The river ice was 51 inches two days ago, and we are still driving on it!!!
I am getting tired of running in place on the treadmill.
    Happy trails,

I played a hole or two a few years ago with some friends, but I'm counting today as really being my first time. It took me a few holes to get used to the driver automatically hooking...in fact, I guess I never got consistently used to compensating for that. But I did have a few good shots. I made almost all bogies, except for about three pars and probably a double bogie.

Definitely looking forward to doing it again!

About 80*. Went down to Atlanta with Tom, hung out with Jerry and George D. Fiddled around with Jerrys gear and found A FEW tubes to play with. George and Janice were gracious hosts. Laid out the plans for my new Tune Shack in the back yard. All is well in the world of Lightman Russ.

Well, in Beijing we're having one of the latest springs EVER. Should have been here a couple of weeks ago. And the boys like to turn off the heat in everyone's house on March 15th...which, let's face it, is not even OFFICIALLY spring! So the grumpy American is having an amusing time walking around his apartment with his baseball cap on and long underwear under his sports pants and jacket.

I wish it were summer HERE! Fingers crossed we should be getting clear of the high winds and 50's and near freezing evening temps by the end of this week.

I'm also going through a 'wicked' gear withdrawal unlike concealer above....I haven't heard my gear in SEVEN months...all I have is a 100 dollar pair of Sony headphones and the lossless files that I put on my laptop of about 40 CDs before I left! Note to self....40 CDs--not enough for a year!!

Unhappy with my gear? At this point I just want to be able to 'listen' to them.

Yep, that's how it goes! I've been toying with the idea of getting a new amp and some bigger, badder Paradigms, but i doubt i'll do anything further until it gets cold again.

Listening to all the amazingly expensive stuff i did this weekend just made me realize how good of a setup i've managed to put together for pennies, and how much i'd really have to spend to see a huge improvement. Much easier pill to swallow when i'm not in racing season. :p
