SDA 1C's vs 2B's

I have a pair of 1C's that I love and just saw a pair or 2B's for sale not that far way on ebay for $200.00 in excellent condition, so say's the seller.

How much difference is there between the two?

Is it a good price?

I have a Yamaha CR-1020 70wpc, would this drive them okay?

Like I really need another set but they seem pretty cheap for what they are.

Opinions appreciated.

    That is a good price for 2B's if they are in good shape. You will want a higher current amp to run them however.

    Can't comment too much on the 1C's since I havn't heard them but I would think most people around here would take them over the 2B's (stock) if they had the room.

    I'm sure more qualified will answer.

    Buy them and do the TL mod. You may just sell those 1C's. IMHO. YMMV.
    I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

    with or without the TL mod. you very well might like the 2Bs better, I had both in here, and picked the 2Bs. YMMV

    I know this is off topic but I keep seeing a pair of ADS 1230's for sale on C/L, I see you have a pair, how do they compare with your 2B's?

    I have had both at one point or another, but never side by side. I would give the nod to the 1c's as I felt they had a more accurate sound to them. They also had a deeper soundstage and a better looking overall appearance.
