I would say around 475-500 coins then it's a fine deal. $525 and above is an OK deal. But this depends on which market you are going to list them on.

I love AmericanTV. I know you guys don't carry the A9's at American but have you tried ordering it. I was told they could be ordered.

The A9's need lots of power to really sing. Feed them the current. They won't be even close to their potential with that Denon AVR. For that matter the A7's wouldn't be either. My A7's really came alive when I hooked them up to my Carver amp. They didn't even sound like the same speakers. The A9's are very power hungry.

Use the coin you get to buy yourself an amp or 2 monoblocks for the 9s. They will sound decent with a good receiver, but to get the most from them you will need the power.
A9's are very nice speaks, GL and enjoy.

Maybe it's just me, but asking for a fair price here on speakers you got for free doesn't seem like the smartest idea.

I agree 100%. especally in here where we are always looking out and helping each other. I think that this post is totaly out of line with the way things are done looking for a fair price on something he got for free and then boasting about the extreamly low price he is getting for their replacement which he will more then likely try to pawn here at a much higher price. All that and he works (so he says) in the industry which IMO is very unprofessional. I would recomend that you need to choose another place to offer those type of deals, perhaps the BAY. It wouldn't have been that bad of a post if you didn't boast/brag.

i'm not trying to brag about anything, and the fact that i got them for free is meaningless, does that mean if i won a car on the price is right and drove it for two years, decide to upgrade and get a new car, that i should give away the one i got for free? what sense does that make? the reason i was asking because i will sell these locally at a price more than half off of retail.

Ok, then, google them and see what they're going for. Check ebay, craigslist, etc... It's not hard to see what they're going for. Whatever you get is profit. Did you see the recent thread where a guy here just gave away a pair of speakers tonight? Pretty cool!

well, here i thought that since this is a polk forum i could get some insight on what people think would be a fair price, instead everything thinks that i should just give them away

I'd have no problem at all giving away something I got for free to a friend or relative, but that's just me. I'd say $500 is fair. Good luck! :)

Personally, I don't know what they go for, but regardless of what you paid for them, you should at least get what they are worth. I have a pair of SDA2As I got for free, and I would not let them go for less than $400, are they worth it, no, but I don't want to get rid of them. I also got an Adcom GFP-555 preamp from snow for the cost of shipping. I sold it here for I think $150 or $125 because that is what it was worth to me, and just happened to be about what the market was at at the time. Did I like doing, no, but that is what it was worth, and I needed the money. I have also offered a few items on here at lower than what they were worth, and even karma'd a few things. IF you think they are worth $600 then offer them for that, if you fell $350 is fair, I'm pretty sure no one would complain. We do consider ourselves as somewhat of a family here, and just like family, some times you can help out(price break, karma), some times you have to watch out for yourself(full current value). Do what is right for you. I see you have to be a half way decent person, or else you would not have started this thread, or let us know how much you paid for them.
