Dali Lektor 8's and 2's on the way.....

After several years of watching the company develop, I finally stepped up and became a dealer for Dali. With Mark's and Russ's suggestions, I started looking at them about 4 years ago, on my first trip to CEDIA Expo in Denver. I got to hear a sample of the Helicons, and I was very impressed. At the time, I was looking at Focal, Thiel, and Dali, but never stepped up to offer any of them.
Over the past 18 months, business has necessitated some high quality speakers and electronics, which I again looked at Dali, but also looked at Vienna Acoustics, and Elac.
After several months of research, I chose Vienna Acoustics, and sold several sets of their speakers, but had a gap in my offerings, where a $400-$600 pair of speakers needed to fit. Again, I looked at Dali, and after a few more months of research, I decided to introduce them to the area.
I picked the Lektor 8's(black) and Lektor 2's(walnut) to ease into the line, while still getting a representation of the fit, finish, general sound, and overall presence.
They will be replacing a pair of Elac BS63's, which sound very good, but will not be available within my lineup in the future.
They should be here by Tuesday at the latest, and I will post a review of each when I have spent some time with them.

That's cool Zach! I auditioned Euphonia MS4 and Helicon 800 several years ago. Pretty impressed with them, very clean sounding.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Dali makes a solid product, and I wish you success with the line.
I had the pleasure of working with the great folk's at DALI USA a couple of years ago. This company had amazing momentum coming into the market. Unfortunately, Denmark incorrectly assessed the American market to the point of sinking the DALI USA ship.
Thankfully though, there is a new distributor at the helm who has a lot more freedoms to do whats appropriate for success, so you are getting in on things at the right time.
That said, I will be taking the little Minuet's for a spin in the upcoming future, and am looking forward to it.
It has been four years since I first looked at the line, and the new importers are one of the reasons I decided to bring the line in at this point. The national sales manager for The Sound Organisation was actually my Cambridge Audio/Mourdant Short rep when I first signed up with the lines.
They import Rega and Primare, and I've used both of these as well. The SPA22 is still my favorite high end "receiver."
The Menuets look interesting, and I'm going to take a look at the Fazon's at some point as well.Tschüss
