Just wondering if anyone has heard the Sophia Electric mesh plate 300B? I can't really decide between that and the Valve Art (Shuguang). VA is $200 and SE is $400.

I have the SE's on my preamp. I can only compare to the ElectroHarmonix. The SE are clearly the better tubes. More open and wider bandwidth.Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
Thanks for the heads up. Just finished reading around the net also and it looks like a winner. I will go with the SE.
Interesting pre you got there. Which one is it? I think I"ve only seen one pre that use a pair of 300B's.
I swear man, the 300B is the most amazing tube I've heard. I'm getting some work done to my cdp. 300B outputs with an external power supply. Should probably be done in about 3 weeks. I'm so excited about this one. -
Wonderful! thanks for the info that you guys have been discussing. Awesome!!!!

I have the Manley pre. 300B's are awesome. So you are using them on a CD player output?Vinyl, the final frontier...

I went on Manley's site and saw the pre. Very cool.
Yeah, the 300B's will be used at the outputs of a non-oversample/filterless cdp.
I also plan to get mods done to my mono blocks. I'm thinking about having the 1st gain stage changed from its ss circuit to 300B's as well. Not enough room in the amps, so they'll also need an outboard PS. -
Cool. And, I like the sound of non-oversampling d-a converters.Vinyl, the final frontier...

Yeah, I'm hooked after the first listen lol. I will post pics when I get the cdp back.
