So had some service done recently on my other system (KEF KHT2005.2). Had all the woofers and tweeters replaced for fun, since they're still under warranty for another 13 years (no, that's not a typo) and they were grungy from when they were floor models at Circuit City many moons ago.
Shop was local by my house... the new drivers are shiny, but something is amiss....
Catch it?

I wonder if that will make a difference in sound quality where they should at least have matched pairs. Is it simply upside down, or a newer version of the model? Did they have to drill a hole into the case to mount it?VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

Got some weird porting going on there and where is the center?
That said....those are some of the best sat/sub systems I've heard, very nicely matched.

Nothing gets by you. Well done.
At first I simply thought I mounted the speaker upside down on the stand, but the way the threaded mounting holes work, there's only one way for vertical positioning. While I have become emboldened by my experiences with the vintage polk stuff, I'm still hesitant to take an allen wrench to these things. I'm wondering if the front casing is simply on the wrong way, as it looks like the "egg shell" is composed of a front panel, and a rear casing.
Either way, kinda funny. I'll be taking the "borked" one back in sometime later this week.
EDIT: The center is sitting on the subwoofer, out of shot. it is fine (meaning the casing is on properly).
And yah, nothing like my Polk RTi setup, but It's a great sub/sat system for sure. -
Ummfh...ooops...they must have been in a hurry...
Kewl about that 13yr warreny.. -
Umm... Three speakers are upside down??
Actually, the one on the right looks better with the port on the top...
