First I would like to thank NameThatUser & RoverRH for allowing me to kind of hijack there threds sorry folks I was just excited with my new speaker purchase and if you ever feel like posting in my thred please do..
I made an order for a pair of 70's and 40's from eggy monday after noon and i just done a ups track on them and they will be here delivered to me tomarrow  I almost peed my pants. ( I know there not the best polk makes but if you new what i was using now you would understand)
Here is to newegg for a job well done and to polk for making it all happen. I just hope they get here in one piece.
Can any tell me how well polk packs the units I mean do they put thick styrofoam in the box to protect the speakers? The next thing I will buy will be a cs2 center and then a sub or 2 , I would like to run 2 subs in stereo if i can.
Tonight insted of dreaming of sugar plums and such it will be polk 70's - sub woffers and center chanel speakers. Please post any comments you like / do'nt like about the speakers and if you have a set what kind of sub do you use?
Thanks
From my family to yours have a safe and happy holiday.

Congrats on the buy. I just picked up the same set from newegg. Will be setting them up this weekend. What kind of speaker cables are you going to be using? bi-wiring or single cables? I am still deciding if I want to bi-wire them.Receiver - Onkyo TX-SR674
Mains - Monitor 70
Center - CS1
Surrounds - Monitor 40
Sub- 12" Sony (upgrading to polk soon)

Congrats to both of you....M70s are a very underrated speaker. To let you all in on a little secret...the 70s were the speaker that had the most thought put into it in that series--and it's design was really something special in that price range for many years....so don't sell them short.

I just received my M70's and M30's along with a CS2 on Tuesday.
The UPS driver brought them right into our house. Great guy.
The boxes were in pretty decent shape so that was one problem taken care of.
I got a great tip from another forum member on how to open the large M70 boxes.
Lay the box down on its side and open the box and then fold the flaps back and stand the box back up. Then simply slide the box up and off the speakers.
They will stay secure in the bottom styrofoam tray.
I am also going to have to wait until next week to set everything up. I put the little darlings in the corner of the room to keep them safe.
I will probably be using 14Ga wire as I have a bunch of it from old installs. I will definitely be using single runs as I don't know anything about bi wiring.
Lots of great advice on this forum.
Congrats guys on your new speakers.Fronts - Polk M70's
Center - Polk CS2
Rear - Polk M30's
Sub - 10" Onkyo
AVR - Onkyo HT - R520
Blue Ray - PS3
TV - Samsung 52" LN 52A650
Satellite - Directv HR 23-700 -
Thanks.
I never give any thought as to using single or bi - wire . What i have now is on 16 AWG Oxfree speaker wire.
What is Bi/wire? If I had it my way i would wire it with 10AWG I know alot of you do not see the difference but using the hever gauge wire will store energy until your speakers can use it but this only works for runs longer then 10 feet. I do'nt think i will be using such wire anytime soon as it is very $$$$$ and it would cost me way over $200 just to run it to the rear speakers.
My ups man should be here in the next hour or so ....
On another note:
Those LSi 25 are sweet ar'nt they!! Maybe i will hit the lottery and get all new gear soon.Onkyo TX-DS656

AWH SNAP got'em i was worried at first because the boxes looked a little rough but my UPS man pulled through and I shook his hand and gave him a 20 spot for doing one he11 of a job this year.
I had a brain **** earlier and coudnt think what was Bi/wire but i remember now, I may do that i know it cleans up the sound some what.
I can give any reviews on the speakers yet as it would be unfair at best but i can say that they have been playing them @ 1/4 Vol. for about 2 hours and they seem to be getting louder and more detailed. I had to turn some V T & B down a couple notches I have the amp set in studio mode all set to large no reverb and large room even thogh my living room is only 12x14 HEHEHE and i have no Neighbors so i can play music as loud and late as i like
I know today's recievers are alot better then my old onyko but it does sound alot better then those old bose901 and infinity rs2 The bose was give to me by a close friend just 2 weeks before he died of hart problems so i can't trash em..Peace folks and i hope you and your's stay safe this week end and a big shot out to polk for the deal of a life time I have been a big fan since the 80's

I accept with information:Minami Takayama is the Japanese voice actress for Conan. She is also the singer in the popular J-Pop duo Two-Mix. In May 2005, she married Case Closed creator Gosho Aoyama, although they divorced in 2007. The two originally met when Takayama voiced the title character in the anime adaption of an earlier Gosho Aoyama manga: Yaiba. According to an interview, she preferred to wait until the latest chapter of the manga was on sale in Japan.
