Funny how people have differing views. I love white lights. I think the colored lights are too '50 ish.

The Griswolds across the street from me still use the large colored lights I remember from 20 years ago. They use so many that even my living room is lit up.
That being said, I also prefer the look of white lights."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

LOL!!! The Griswolds!
My house and Christmas tree are all white lights. -
White lights do look "nicer" but they just don't have that festive feel that I like with Christmas I go colored lights, they make me feel like a kid; white lights make me feel like an old lady.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I think Massachusetts has a law that says if you live in a "colonial" house (even if it was built in 1974, as ours was) that you have to have single white candles in all the windows.
We do. :-P
I think that, further, you're supposed to have an expensive European sedan in the garage or driveway, as well... but we don't do that. -

Bob, how did you find the conditions on your return trip? -

See now I'm the opposite. Colored lights remind me of some old Italian goomba in South Philly. -
My son was to fly in from NY today with a layover in Washington, He is stuck at the airport he may not get here till tomorrow afternoon, this snow storm sucks ****.

Our son's en route to Boston from Budapest via Zurich even now. We'll see 1) if he actually made it onto the plane in Zurich and/or 2) whether we actually make it in to Logan tonight...

I'm at Sea-Tac right now. Our flight into Newark is listed as on-time so hopefully everything stays that way. About an hour till take-off.
After that I just have to make it from Newark to Manchester NH; we decided if our flight was canceled out of Newark we'd just rent a car adn drive the 4 hours. Beats sleeping in an airport.
Thanks for the thoughtsIf you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
Manchester should've dodged the brunt of the storm.
-
It did indeed. Made it in only about ten minutes behind schedule. Good to be home, despite all the shoveling I have to do.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
-
Good to see you got home safely.
