;) I'm the "guy from Chicago" , this dip$hit sends me this and still thinks their worth 1400$.

hi Dean . it was just brought to my attention that these are the 1.2 srs sda loudspeakers , but not the TL series which have a different tweeter (sl2000 vs. sl 3000) . dont think there is hardly any difference though . they are yours for 1350 cash . awesome speakers !! give me a call. i wont be home tomorrow but if sat. morning works for you thats good for me . 262-363-#### . thanks

    And here was my reply:
SDA-SRS's are not even worth a grand! I have 2.3tl's and there is a huge difference between them and non tl's, totally different crossover design. 750$-850$ is a good price for the original 1.2's. Good luck

I wouldn't even want these for 700$! The only step up for me would be the 1.2tl's and then I'd have to move into a house with a room big enough to use them. Gotta love CL knuckleheads!!!! And to think, for a couple of hours, I was even considering selling my 2.3tl's when they are almost where I want them.

If you knew I was going after this deal why would you make him a offer. Today he told me I could come and pick them up then called he back and said you resubmitted your offer.

The guy sent me an email stating I could still have them for a grand...lol.

I asked for pictures of the crossover plates and the serial number tags. So far, no response.

I like the way you think, Sal. ;)

And it seems to me that these speakers are not worth nearly as much as the seller is asking.
So who cares who goes after them?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

1.2's are worth every bit of his asking price plus some.

I agree. I have a set of 1.2's. They sound very similar to the original SRS speakers just easier to drive being that they are 6 ohm speakers. Many members like the deeper bass sound of the original SRS speakers. I am fortunate that I also have the 1.2tl's to compare. The 1.2's are easily worth a grand and in great condition, more in my opinion. Throw in some RDO 194's plus a quality power amp and these speakers kick butt. That said, I don't care for the seller jerking everyone around. That is bush league and someone I would stay away from.

OK, I guess I misread the post you had quoted, which I thought was yours; turned out it was a quote from dracoskeeper.

So I was under the impression that 1.2s were not worth $1000.

Way out of my range anyway ;) .

You would probably be happier with what you have now. ;)
