Mrs. Loki's new ride.

My wife has been wanting a new SUV for awhile now. (we have a Tahoe, but at 130,000 miles - while still reliable - she wanted a little more reassurance before putting a horse trailer behind it.)
Anyway - it was decided that we would get her a new truck trading in my Pacifica. The Pacifica was fine, but nothing to write home about. Certainly nothing in the "fun to drive" category. She gets a new truck and I get a 300c (her old car) to drive to work and a Tahoe (her old truck) to drive in the winter. (sounded like a great deal to me).
Anyway - this is what we got.... It is a 2008 Aspen, looks fantastic and has every option on it they thought to put on them in 2008. Oddly enough, since they have quit making them (2009 was the last year for them) purchasing them used has gotten more expensive.
We are really happy with it so far. We had to drive 3.5 hours to pick it up, so while we have not owned it a full day yet, we have spent quite a bit of time in it. It rides great and should work out really well for us. (not to mention the fact that I get to drive a 300c to work now rather than a Pacifica:D)
Here is a pic of the new vehicle...

It is rated to pull 8,900#. Should handle 5,200# of horse tailer w/ horses with no problem.
Rear dvd for the kids, nav for whoever is driving and the backup camera should make hooking up the trailer a breeze. We are really happy to have gotten it. (granted we have not had to fill it up yet, but it is the same motor we have in the 300c so we have an idea of what to expect mpg wise.....)

Is it 4-wheel, or rear? (I beleive it's a part-time 4-wheel drive with the Dodge Chrysler...)

4x4. It's lowest setting is AWD but there is a selector for 4-hi and 4-low.

O_O
Now that's what I'm talkin about!! Nice truck... -
Nice!!!! Now time for a long road trip to get some SDA's.

Never use the 4WD lock unless you get stuck. It will tear up the drive train, and make the vehicle "push" in tight turns.
Enjoy:)Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
