MIT's are really that good

As you all know I have been a fan of MIT cables for awhile
So for my modest little office rig I wasn't going to spend a lot on cables. I built my own Canare Star Quad speaker cables which were a nice improvement over std zip cord.
I have been using a Harmonic Technology Toslink out of my computer sound card into a separate dac (middle of the line cable). And finally a Signal Analog II for the analog from the dac to the input on my hybrid tube integrated.
Ran across an barely used last generation MIT Terminator III 2M RCA/pr. for a decent price so I figured I'd get it to compare to the Signal Analog II. Mind you I use MIT Terminator II's on the main rig and I really like them.
Wow, what a difference. The MIT cable is better in every way than the Signal Analog II, which is no slouch. Clarity, depth, and focus is a lot better. Bass is more natural and things are fleshed out so much better. The Signal sounds dark compared to the MIT; that's not to say the MIT is bright. It has much better clarity and leading edge attack.
It just goes to show you don;t always need ultra high end gear to notice very formidable differences in cables.
I bought this from MSSHiFi and I'm not even sure it's been broken in. It came in the original box and looks unused..........even though they said it has a few hours on it as a show demo.

That's just how I felt, mind you I wasn't using anything even half-decent for speaker cables....but I picked up some MIT Terminator 6 speaker cables and wow.
I've had them for what, a week and a half now? I want to say I've logged on plenty of hours on them to be fully burned in after not being used for over a year.
Can't wait until I move up in the audio food-chain and try out the newer stuff MIT has to offerTruck setup

Some day when I can pull the trigger I'm going to replace the Terminator 2's in the main rig with Shotguns. I really like the T2's."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Save your money and step-up to the Magnum series. There's no audible difference within the same series.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Do you recommend any certain ones for my humble rig ?

So, I must ask.....
My speaker cables are MIT EXp 1, which I love. How do these compare to their (substantially) upscale cousins? What should I expect to hear if I upgrade them? Are they limited by the ICs I'm using (the weakest link) - if I upgrade the speaker cables, do I need to simultaneously upgrade the ICs to hear any real difference?? -
Maybe someone else can respond, as i only have a limited experience with them...
I know that when I went up the MIT foodchain with the I/C`s, I was blown away
much, much more detail
much more clear , uncolored sound...IMO
I can only assume that the speaker cables would give me the sameCary SLP-98L F1 DC Pre Amp (Jag Blue)

The name's a bit deceptive, IMO.
So are alot of other acronyms and business names in the world.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Yeah, ok so I typed it fast before I looked on the box. I know them as MIT's and rarely, if ever, spell out the acronym. Geeesh!"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. H9, I had a similar experience going basically from SC Analog IIs and Utras directly to Shotgun S-3 ICs and then a biwire S-3 speaker cables. It was like, Holy ****!. The price tag on the speaker cables even used/like new wasn't cheap ($580 shipped), costing more than my used Parasound amp amazingly, but at least I know I'm set with all of these cables for life. From now on, it will just be a matter of upgrading everything else in my rig to catch up with my cables2 Ch.
