This ebay seller has 3 pairs of used LSi9's ranging from $460-$435, with free shipping.

He calls the condition excellent, but looking at the photos I'd give them a C-

What do you think of these prices for this condition?

Are the side panels completely removable on these, so they could be fixed/replaced, or are they an integrated part of the box?

With a little work the side panels can be removed.

These look so beat up on the outside that I wonder what the insides are like. For about $200 more (and a bit of patience) you can get a factory refurbished LSi9 pair in like new condition with a two year warranty from Polk Direct.

Hell no. They are in crappy shape for the price (IMHO).
And he called the Cosmetic Condition Excellent???

That's just plain speaker abuse right there.

if he lowered the price it would be intriguing because abuse be damned, I'll bet the speaker works fine. those things are built like bricks.

at that price though? hold off.

I paid $500 for a used pair in EXCELLENT condition here at CP. I agree with everyone else, hold off for something in better shape.

    Thanks for all the inputs.

Interesting point that all this seller's Polks are ugly. Maybe he has a line on speakers retired from the trade show circuit or maybe from rental systems.
