I am currently running 1 3.1 as a center channel. can i add my other, wired in parallel, with 2 single bi-wire cables, off of the same power source i am now running my single speaker with? will i be at 2 ohms, or 8 ohms? my amp is rated at 250 into 8, or 400 into 4. benefits/negatives?

better to run a CSi-A6 as a center and run the 3.1TL's as mains... what else do you have in your setup?

i have 1.2tl's front l/r, and 2.3tl's rear. all speakers are modded with sonic caps, mills, and new rdo's. tried my polk srt, but it does not timbre match as well as the 3.1 does. although ken(at polk)told me the srt is one of the most dynamic centers they ever made, i prefer the sound of the vintage stuff.

You might be supprised by the CSi-A6. It blends seamlessly with my 2.3TL's. If you go that route, I might be able to give those 3.1's a good home...

shipping to you would probably be a fortune-they are a walnut finish. they do sound good, i just need to find out if i can run them both. i believe parallel reduces impedence, and series doubles it. need to know before i experiment.

Is that still in the U.S.... lol.

    SDA's are worth it:D...

Seriously, try the A6 if the other options do not work out. My biggest concern about what you are trying to do is that two sets of SDA's sitting side by side as you are thinking about would sound terrible as there would be way to much of a good thing. They would most likely overwhelm each other rather than provide the focus needed for dialog and center screen action.

not side by side-stacked. sorta the same thing. is the a6 better than the srt? it weighs over 40lbs and is rated at a 1000watts. ken told me it was good to about 1130 watts.(not that i need it, but it does wail)!

I'd stick with your single 3.1 as I don't imagine any benefit.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I will let others weigh in on that, but for what my system needs are the answer is yes. The extra subs that are built in to the CS1000 are a bit redundant with my having a subwoofer already. I almost never use my sub as the SDA's do a great job with bass anyway.

The CSiA6 blends pretty well with SDA's. I'm running a CSi5(old version of A6) with my SDA 2A's, and they blend pretty well. It's not perfect, but quite acceptable.

If you've got the room though, I'd just stick with the single 3.1TL. That's a pretty badass HT system!!
