You'll be fine with the 25's and a non common ground amp.The issue is only with SDA's where there is an interconnection between the channels.

    +1
Because of the interconnect cable, the 2 speakers share a ground.

    You'll be fine.

Yep, no issue what so ever.

I know the general opinion is they will be fine but I have to question it. I have powered bass speakers on my horn speakers and non-common ground is a no-no with them. The AC ground (and I'm talking about mine, not the 25's) makes them expect the same ground on the (-) speaker terminals. The resulting fault condition was a light popping sound through the bass speakers as well as through the passive speakers and some added distortion to both. I'm sure this would not be good for the main amplifier long term. I got around the problem by cutting off both the ground posts on both speaker AC cords. (did so at the risk of shock).

    Thank You, GV#27, kawizx9r, heiney9 and madmax.

I'm sorry....the Polk O.C.D. factor is kicking in again. I thought it would be very nice to have the LSI25's in another room powered by my Carver Silver 7T's, run off of "Zone 2" on the Anthem.

What do you guy's think ? From what I've read the LSI's are very sweet sounding, would you agree with that ? Or would I be better off purchasing RTI-A9's instead, based on the power that I'm going to throw at them ?

    Thank You Again.----Bill(BB3)

2 channel or Home Theater? I use mine mainly for home theater. I have been very happy with them, but you have to watch the gear you match them with. They are quite laid back sounding and personally, it can be to much of a good thing for home theater (in my opinion) with the wrong gear.

    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)

    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

Point taken McLoki and really appreciate your input. They will be used strictly for 2 channel listening.

The setup that I use now can be both ways, meaning 2 or multiple channel audio or for home theater usage and its a great room for entertaining guest purposes.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I would consider running this setup off of "zone 2" from the Anthem, but the more I think about it would be an absolute wiring nightmare to get the cables to another entertaining room, so I may just elect to do this setup instead.....

Take my Carver C-16 PreAmp along with the Silver 7T's, find a minty used or new Tube CD Player and call it a day. What do you think ?

I guess my main concern is, how satisfied am I going to be with the sound quality of the LSI25's ? I've never listened to them at all before so I'm really going to go off of everyones opinion here on the Forum. Any chance I would be happier with the sound quality of say the RTi-A9's instead with there multiple woofer setup ?

Most importantly I really appreciate everyones time and knowledge concerning this matter.

    Sincerely, Bill(BB3)

I have been wanting a pair of speakers strictly for 2 channel music listening and ive specifically been lusting over the Polk LSI9. I love the looks and from the reviews ive read theyre fantastic... Is there anything that competes with this speaker for less money perhaps? Im looking around the 500 / pair price range realistically. Ive found the LSI9 as cheap as 650 / pair online.

No one bid on that one. IMO $1,000 was too much to spend.

He is swapping back and forth all the time. He has a bad case of audio itch and everytime he goes to Tom's shop he has to try out something else.
