How to bi-amp pair of Polk Si9's
I should probably know the answer to this, but I rather be safe than sorry. Currently, I have my LSi9's connected to an Outlaw 7125, 7 channel amp, rated at 190wpc @ 4ohms. I'm using an Sony STR-DG1000 receiver as a preamp. I have NO issues with sound (set up for 5.1 surround sound), however, I would like to try the amplification capability using the Front and Back Surround speaker connections to give the Front LSi9's more power. How would I go about doing this?

Y-split the signal from Sony to the Outlaw, feeding one pre-out channel to two amp channels (Left Front to Left Front and Left Surround Back, for example). Remove the brass straps connecting top and bottom terminals and feed output from 2 amp channels to separate terminals on each speaker; red to red, black to black.
This is similar as passive bi-amping using Surround Back. Whether there's any benefit is hard to tell since it still the same amp and the same power supply. -
VSchneider is correct on how to do that. Not sure if you will hear a difference but it would be nice to try. Nah, I couldn't really tell if there was a difference. It was very little. I'll probably just put it back the way it was. As I said before, i have to issues with my set up. The sound coming out of these speakers is outstanding!AVR: Sony STR-DG1000
