god they are stunning...I can't wait to get my hands on their younger brothers (rti a7's). I couldn't justify the cost of the a9's at age 20, but I was most certainly tempted...

lol, I justified my recent purchase of used RTi12s at the age of 20. Couldn't be happier.

Very well, thank's. No complaint's at all. They really deliver some big, and clear sound for 2 channel and H/T.:D This should only get better after they get some more break in time.

You got me bro, right on the "carpet":D. I will try to offer the best review i can: After setup and re-calibration using the MCACC with the Sc-05, i popped in my favorite cd, ( The Eagle's, Hell Freeze's Over). Just your basic Redbook cd, and noticed a marked difference in my front stage, the Midrange had perked up tenfold, compared to the A-7, instumental presentation, and vocal's were like night and day.

Primarily useing the NAD C-565BEE for my source, via digital hookup, and taking advantage of the 05's DAC'S, I was quite impressed. The A-9's are a little "bright" right now , but see them settling down in time. Seemed like there was alway's an overwhelming presence of bass with the A-7's no matter what.

For fun i threw my 80gb PS3 in the mix, via HDMI, and was dare i say "impressed"? feel it doesn't get the credit it deserve's as a cd player. Havent hooked up the NAD yet via RCA'S, to the 05, but that's next. Hope this was a somewhat decent review, im not good at these, hope i was able to give some insight.:)

    Congrats...Retro...

I've been in England for a little over a week so I missed the speakers arrival. I'm not surprised that the 9s sound good. I've always said they were the BEST of the RTIs period!

I also agree about the PS3, I have one and an older class D amp I've run with it a couple of times. It sounds very clean for a mid to lower end CDP but I really think that has a lot to do with the Pioneer Elite as well.

I have yet to set up my SDA-2A/B..not sure what they are? I think they're Bs. But would have to pull drivers to know for sure....

    Enjoy the new speaks.....!!!
