My wife's family still live in Tehran, and with all the fighting there over the election, her family has felt the oppression of the government there. One of her cousins has been taken by the police and a cab her aunt was in while traveling to the market was hit by gunfire. Thankfully she was not hurt, but the violence is increasing and she is afraid for their safety as the country tilts closer to complete anarchy... thanks for the help.

May all of yours be safe during the unrest over there. This was only a matter of time. People can only take so much before things come to a head. I salute the people who stand up for themselves, but feel for the innocents who get caught up in the crossfire.

    Stay strong.

That may be nothing but chaff to throw off the media radar away from the Middle East. Not saying it isn't without substance, just a distraction. Just an opinion.

I hope your family remains safe. I was speaking to a colleague from Iran while in Singapore the other day, and he was pretty vocal about how the population feel as though they are prisoners. He painted a pretty desperate picture.

Out of curiosity, how do you communicate with your family? I've heard lines of communication are being cut going out of the country.
