    Yeah, I decided to order my new a9's directly from Polk.
    The ones i've seen on ebay and Craigs's List all looked like they were Tina Turner's prized possessions when she was with Ike. ;)
    I spoke to one guy from Craig's List-Indiana with some in similar beat-up condition. He wanted $850 + shipping, and wanted me to pay for the shipping boxes!
    the irony is that a fellow Polk owner would more that likely sell them in pristine condition at a more than fair price.

    I've seen the a9's on ebay in the same condition going for 300.00 each. If your handy with wood I guess that would be about fair. Mine actually arrived a bit damaged. ups is fighting the claim and the seller offered to pay for the damage. I've had a carpenter over here the last couple nights patching the wood, the job will be finished today. Once the stain is matched, you'll never even know they were damaged. This guy is really good. Anyhow, my point is- anyone who is handy with wood filler and stain should be able to pick up damaged a9's for 600 or less- I think king pin is smokin somthin...

    I called polk the other day and they told me the a9's, 7'2, 5's will be on polk direct in about 3-5 weeks for 899, 500, and 400 ish respectively. Good deals are coming, can't wait!

    Ah the joys of a free market economy; every a-hole is allowed to ask what ever price he wants...sometimes though.... I've seen guys on CL asking higher prices than RETAIL!!! on some of the older RTi series; they're nuts. I just pray no one actually buys from these morons.
